I just ordered Thousand Suns, written by [livejournal.com profile] maliszew. I took part in many of the discussions about the book, and offered to do some work on the default setting military.

Along with my hard-bound copy, I got a PDF download. I get a credit, and looking at the setting section, there's my work, ready for people to use.

I will never get tired of this feeling.

The entire game is excellent, and I am going to run it this summer. Using my own Concordant setting, of course. Which means I'm going to need to get busy. Because we're all adults with lives, I'm figuring on a once a month weekend gaming/dinner/more gaming session, with some side stuff done on a dedicated LiveJournal group. So, if you are local, and are interested, please fill out the poll. I emphasize local because I'm using this to plan things. Thanks.

Looking at the poll results, it seems to me that a space-based take on One Piece might just fit the bill here...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] fimbrethil!!!!! And what better to get the coolest lady in New York (who has actually touched Rob Halford's flesh) than some vintage, screaming PRIEST!!!!

I don't care how old you really are. While watching this, you're 16 again!

Have a great day, m'lady!

When I posted my poll about possibly running a game at my home in San Jose, California I included the following statement:

So, if you are local, and are interested, please fill out the poll. I emphasize local because I'm using this to plan things. Thanks.

Evidently, people think that I'm proving once-monthly round trips of about 3,000 miles.

I guess I wasn't fucking clear enough when I mentioned LOCALS twice, and used my hometown and ZIP code in my location. To repeat - I use these polls to plan events, to see how many people will come, how many will need rides, how many will need to spend the night. If you live in another freaking time zone, or COUNTRY, don't answer the goddamned thing!

I am not running a PBEM, or a web-based game. I'm trying to get something in my life that involves actual human contact with friends.

Comments suspended for this post. I am seriously fucking pissed off that people cannot read instructions given multiple times.
