Megas XLR is by far one of the best cartoons on TV today. Consistently funny, poking fun at both the conventions of the genre (anime-0style giant robot battles) and our own culture.

Short form: Jersey City gearhead and slacker friend find a giant robot from the future in a junkyard. Coop, the gearhead, modifies the robot. Then the owners come looking for it, then the aliens it was meant to fight show up...

Tonight, Coop accidently loads a Galactic Prison cartridge into his X-box, thinking it's a video game. This releases dozens of world-beating monsters. Hilarity ensues.

What moved me to post about it was the main monster looked suspiciously like The Tarrasque of D&D fame.

Gamers. We're everywhere!

I love that show! The animation reminds me strongly of the Clerks show, but I haven't found a connection yet. David DeLuise, one of Dom's sons, does the voice of Coop.

Yeah. I fangirl just about everything. *Grin*

The Sailor Moon and Battle of the Planets/Voltron episode had me howling.

I can't seem to find it anymore, I didn't see it listed last night, what time what is on?

It's one of my Saturday night shows! It's on right before Yu Yu Hakusho, so I never miss it. XLR, YYH, Fullmetal Alchemist and InuYasha all before I crash. :) I'm such an anime girl.
