Randy Johnson has thrown a Perfect Game. At 40. Wow. This comes after the Big Unit struggled with injuries and a slow start.
And elsewhere...
San Francisco Giants: 1
Chicago Cubs: 0
Jason Schmidt came close.. giving up 1 walk and 1 hit in his CG win. On a night when the winds a Wrigley kept everything in the park, the low score seemed inevitable.
Wouldn't that have been something if Schmidt had also pitched a perfect game? Two in one day?

Date: 18 May 2004 21:22 (UTC)I was at the Blue Jays game the next day (Stewart threw his against Toronto) and had heard about Valenzuela's but not Stewart's. I got really confused when people around me started talking about watching "yesterday's no-hitter" until I figured it out :)
