The New York Tankees have acquired A-Rod from the Rangers, another example of Steinbrenner's negative effect on baseball.
But that's not the shocker.
A-Rod will be wearing Babe Ruth's old number. Why wasn't that number retired decades ago? I mean, we are talking about Herman "Babe" Ruth! Number #2 on the all-time homerun list, one of the greatest players of all time. And his number has been retired?

Stienbrenner is an idiot. He will ruin baseball for everyone.
The Ranger's owner is just as bad. Offering that contract to Arod was an act of severe dumbness.
