Contraception harms people, society and civilization

Reading this, I have to wonder if the loon who wrote it has ever actually spoken to a live woman. According to him, Women only really want sex every 2 or 3 years, contraception makes women sexual toys, and prostitution is a recent phenomena.

Read the whole thing for great geysers of pure Epic Fail.

This morning we have Iced Earth, yet another band that has enough former members to form a good-sized parade. Interesting sound, sort of NWOBHM meets West Coast Thrash Metal

Iced Earth - Watching Over Me Live in Athens

But Iced Earth does sound like something you'd order at a snooty coffee place.

There's a thread on alt.atheism right now about the historical existence of Nazareth (short form, it wasn't there in the time of Jesus.) At best it was a cluster of farms. This has led to our usual silliness.

>>> There is evidence Nazareth existed, but it wasn't a "city" until about
>>> the third century CE. There were apparently a few farms in the area
>>> in the first century, but definitely not a place with which one could
>>> attach the label "of Nazareth" to his name.
>>>
>> So "Jesus of Nazareth" would be equivalent to "Jesus of Weed, Califonia"?
>
>Or even "Jesus of Gerlach, NV." I guess we'd have to ask the Mormons on
>that one...

I couldn't resist.

Our Man, Who art on fire
Hollow be Thy Frame
Thy Burn Night come
Our clothes be shorn, in dust and in sun
Give us this day our daily ice
And forgive us for the raver camps
As we forgive the art car which trespassed upon our tent
And lead us not into Gerlach
But deliver us more beer
Amen.

Yes, Kiri, you can repost this.

Nobody wanted to go in on a four pack of tickets for the Metal Masters show over Labor Day, so I just bought myself a single ticket. For the first time in decades I'm actually in a seat, as opposed to dealing with the mob on the lawn. I'll be in Section 203, Row G, seat 6.
