Well, we won the ballgame...
Jun. 19th, 2004 04:59 pmAfter being blown out, the Giants came back today to beat the Red Sox 6-4.
But the broadcasters on the nationally televised game were driving me nuts! The kissed so much Boston ass I thought they were going to make a pilgrimage down to the dugout to offer tongue shines to the players! And Bonds? He had a bad day, but according to the Fox idiots, it was the worst day a ball player had ever had in the history of sports, going back to the first Olympics! "He's 0-4! He struckout! He made a fielding error! Did we mention the 0-4?" Meanwhile, Pedro getting whacked for four runs in the first inning merited only reminders that the Sox came back yesterday to win the game.
Grrr... You're supposed to show a bias when you are a hometown broadcaster, not when you are doing a national game. Our locals do a good job of restraining themselves when they get the call to do these games for Fox.
Still, we're 1.5 games behind the Dodgers, and improving fast!
Time for work, gotta run!
