After being blown out, the Giants came back today to beat the Red Sox 6-4.

But the broadcasters on the nationally televised game were driving me nuts! The kissed so much Boston ass I thought they were going to make a pilgrimage down to the dugout to offer tongue shines to the players! And Bonds? He had a bad day, but according to the Fox idiots, it was the worst day a ball player had ever had in the history of sports, going back to the first Olympics! "He's 0-4! He struckout! He made a fielding error! Did we mention the 0-4?" Meanwhile, Pedro getting whacked for four runs in the first inning merited only reminders that the Sox came back yesterday to win the game.

Grrr... You're supposed to show a bias when you are a hometown broadcaster, not when you are doing a national game. Our locals do a good job of restraining themselves when they get the call to do these games for Fox.

Still, we're 1.5 games behind the Dodgers, and improving fast!

Time for work, gotta run!

Nice to see the Giants climb back into their division race. I dislike the Giants (a hangover from my time in Monterey), but I truly despise the Dodgers, while the Padres, Rockies and Diamondbacks are hardly worth comment.

Of course, the Giants are still five games behind the Redbirds for overall best record in the NL....

Admittedly, the season's still young, and many things may happen between now and October.

Come now, tut tut, did you honestly expect anything else from a FOX broadcast? Sports, news, or otherwise? :D

Also, the media gloats over every minor failing by Bonds because they hate him because he won't lower himself to sucking up to them and pretending that the fans and the media should be bowed to.

Probably a bit of the east coast (or more specifically new york) sports media bias at work too. Boston, as the traditional rival of the Yankees, are also permitted to "matter".
