NFL Week 3
Sep. 23rd, 2002 09:40 amSan Francisco 49ers: 20
Washington Redskins: 10
Pretty good for a team that was dropping from the flu. We had to pull several players, including our starting Quarterback because of nausea. T.O. had a spectacular touchdown run that was supposed to be a pass play, but fell apart. Garrison Hearst and Kevin Barlow both came within a few yards of 100 yard rushing games. The defense was solid, holding the 'skins to three-and-out seven times. With the bye coming up, hopefully we can all get healthy.
We are now on top of the NFC West. The Rams play tonight against Tampa Bay, so tomorrow we'll have the complete picture.
Next week: Bye week, no game. Oct. 6: Rams at 49ers.
