One of the more annoying people on the Traveller Mailing List has begun editing quotes to meet his standards. Not just fixing spelling and punctuation errors, which is annoying enough, but wholesale changing of things like sentence structure and units of measurement.

Everyone has asked him, in increasingly strident tones, to please stop this, and he simply expresses amazement that anyone would be bothered by his editing, and that he has every "right" to change things and then represent it as a quote.

I am reaching the point of plonking the guy. He has pissed me off before, and is a right-wing moron whose views are strident to the point of solipsism. He's always right, and what he likes is of course what is best for all of us. But what gets me is that in the face of no support at all, he continues to contend that he is right.

This morning the KFOG morning show admitted they had made a screw-up. They started a contest a week early. They then started asking Fogheads to call in with their work-related screw ups. I called in about the time I was in a track that we managed to sink in a swamp.

They played it, and I have now received three emails and one IM asking if that was, in fact me. It was, and no, I didn't win anything.

The hated St. Louis Rams are 0-3. They stink up the field, and are in last place in our division. God, I hate them. Watching them suffer is so much fun.

0-16? Why not? Bwahaha!

For once, I got mail. Two interesting pieces.

First was a package with no return address. This made me suspicious, of course, but I bravely opened it anyway.

When we went to see Apollo 13 on the IMAX screen courtesy of KFOG, I entered a drawing for Free Stuff. I won a Apollo 13 soundtrack. All the music and some very cool tracks with dialogue from the film. This is a good thing.

The other thing was my Greyhound tickets for the November trip to see [livejournal.com profile] eleri. This trip is starting to becoming terrifyingly real now.

Only 53 days, 22 hours, 48 minutes and 3 seconds until November 17, 2002, at 11:30:00 PM(UTC time), when I arrive in Salem and meet them.

Me nervous? You bet
