Date: 20 Dec 2002 10:22 (UTC)Also, as a gamer, I'd like to see something that's more of a simulation of shipwreck/crash survival and/or trying to return to civilization, and less like a game show. If that's the supposed theme of the series, they should do it RIGHT.

Date: 20 Dec 2002 12:15 (UTC)As for the gaming aspect, no on ever said it was a simulation of anything. It is a game show, with several twists. Every few days, the tribes (and later individual contestants) compete for rewards (food, supplies, luxury items) or the cherised immunity. It is this interaction of having to both live together as a tribe for your basic needs and also work to win the game that makes it interesting.
But then, I'm such a geek that I'm probably applying for Survivor 7
