Survivor Thailand

Tonight was the final episode, and Brian has won the million.

Although he was a devious, back-stabbing used car dealer, these are the exact qualities that make winners.

Our take is that this group has not buried the various hatchets they put in each others backs.

G still doesn't see where she blew the whole "grinding" issue out of proportion.

Which is why I don't watch the damn show. :(

Also, as a gamer, I'd like to see something that's more of a simulation of shipwreck/crash survival and/or trying to return to civilization, and less like a game show. If that's the supposed theme of the series, they should do it RIGHT.

Well, there have been players who got close while remaining completely honest, but you need to be capable of deceit to win.

As for the gaming aspect, no on ever said it was a simulation of anything. It is a game show, with several twists. Every few days, the tribes (and later individual contestants) compete for rewards (food, supplies, luxury items) or the cherised immunity. It is this interaction of having to both live together as a tribe for your basic needs and also work to win the game that makes it interesting.

But then, I'm such a geek that I'm probably applying for Survivor 7

Brain. Heh. That's good.

The wife & I liked that Jeff seems to have gone COMPLETELY evil now. He's even wearing the black shirts a lot more. No singin' no dancin' indeed.
