Liked it. The plot had some major holes in it, but it was fun. I really enjoyed that this was far more character driven. I'm really loving Samuel L. Jackson as Col. Nick Fury. Very different take on the character than seen in the comics, but very fitting. And nobody does a dead-level stare like Jackson.
If you haven't seen it yet, Stay to the end of the credits. There's an Easter Egg for the next Marvel film. There's also a cameo for Captain America's shield in one scene.
I'm really hoping Iron Man 3 features The Mandarin. That appears to be the common wisdom.

Date: 9 May 2010 04:02 (UTC)The squee came when he ditched the shirt for the tank top when he was creating the new element. I needed a glass of water and a change of underwear after that.
Also, don't count IM 3 as a definite thing. Jon Favreau has been cagey about there actually being a third.
