What a season to be a baseball fan! The Giants are on a nine game winning streak, powered by some excellent trades, the NL West race has three teams within one game of the lead! Barry Bonds is make a serious run at the single-season homerun record, and my other team, the Cubbies, are also doing well.

In That Other League, The Mariners are making it look easy. After all the head-scratching trades they made over the last few years, it is interesting to see them on top. By a mile. I mean, seriously.. a 20 game lead?

My predictions? Giants-Cubs in the NLCS. Giants take it in five. Yankees-Mariners in the ALCS. Mariners sweep the Yanks. Giants take the World Series in six games.

I don't *think* so. The Mariners managed to take the giants 2-1 in interleague play. By the end of the season, both teams will be even better. I say Mariners in 6... care to put your money where your mouth is? ;)

True, very true... and last night is a definite reminder that *anything can happen*in baseball... heck, this *season* is a reminder of that!The Mariners with a20 game lead over the A's? impossible!
