Good morning!

Yesterday, I worked close to 12 hours in 100-degree heat.
I didn't get home until almost 2000hrs. Sleep didn't come until after midnight, and was fitful at best.
Damn right I stayed home today. I'm so groggy I'm not going to chance my bike, let alone a truck!

Re: Damnit, I leave the office in fifteen minutes...
Date: 1 Sep 2007 06:04 (UTC)We start planning now (gee, where have I said that before?) and make a list of things that need to get taken care of and do them in a staged, orderly manner.
Do you really think we'll need 5 tons of cargo hauling? I'd think renting a F-250 would suffice. However, if the group you camp with want to haul everything up in one vehicle you can rent a 4300DT, and I'd be happy to drive.
I'll just need to get an IISS uniform put together.

Date: 1 Sep 2007 18:22 (UTC)I'll talk to my boss about possibly bringing you on at DMV next year; as I think I've mentioned in the past, we don't normally bring in first-year Burners, but I can make a good case for you Getting It. Because I absolutely understand now where dafydd was coming from when he first brought me out; this is a job for me, and while I don't think I'd need to be as concerned with you finding things to do on your own as he was with me, it'd be nice to actually have you working my shifts. (Besides, they feed us. *grin*)
We'll talk more about this once I'm back.
