Cult movies. The ones we see over and over even though the great unwashed don't get them. The midnight movie playing in the other theater across from the House with Rocky in it.

Below, you will find ten quotes from my favorite cult films. Lines in italics are sung. Identify them!

Popcorn in hand, fishnets in place, Go!

1. "The lights are growing dim Otto. I know a life of crime has led me to this sorry fate, and yet, I blame society. Society made me what I am." - [livejournal.com profile] badger2305 is in every car. You'll see.

2. "Earth women who experience sexual ecstasy with mechanical assistance always tend to feel guilty!" - [livejournal.com profile] greyweirdo really does fly better wasted.

3. "It's not my goddamn planet. Understand, monkey boy?" - [livejournal.com profile] bunyip is heading back to the 8th Dimension, Real Soon!

4. "I don't give a monkey's arsehole about Mods and Rockers. Underneath, we're all the same, 'n't we? " - [livejournal.com profile] filkerdave sometimes still sleeps on the beach.

5. "You and your trained, exploding shark!" - [livejournal.com profile] filkerdave identifies the best movie ever made.

6. "There was a turtle by the name of Bert" - [livejournal.com profile] badger2305 gets the one I thought was going to be tough.

7. "One from the vaults... " - [livejournal.com profile] filkerdave's skill is a credit to his genius, a triumph of his will.

8. "Good, there's oxygen on this planet. " - [livejournal.com profile] benkenobigal has the pasties, and she's not afraid to use them!

9. "Cyborgs don't feel pain. I do. Don't do that again." - [livejournal.com profile] bunyip will be back.

10. "Two days ago, I saw a vehicle that would haul that tanker. You want to get out of here? You talk to me." - [livejournal.com profile] bunyip again. Are we surprised he got this one?

8 is pissing me off, because I can see characters saying it but I can't get enough to recognize the film.

I see I wasn't the first (or even the second) person to get it, either. Could have sworn they used that line in Flash, but my compliments to those who did get it.

I could have sworn

Flesh Gordon... such a wonderfully awful film... I have the special edition DVD here, with the running commentary by the director. or should that be Erector?

Craig T. Nelson did the voice of Emperor Wangs monster!

"It's not my goddamn planet. Understand, monkey boy?"

Is this from the DVD? I don't remember ever hearing it in the movie channel versions.
