The first lines of Black Sabbath's War Pigs scan to Deck the Halls...

Generals gathered in their masses

Fa La La La Laaa La La La Laaaaaa.

Just like witches at black masses

Fa La La La Laaa La La La Laaaaaa

Evil minds that plot destruction

Fa La La, La La La, La La Laaa

Sorcerers of deaths construction

Fa La La La Laaaa, La La La Laaaaa...

You can make the entire thing work. Argh.

Actually, there's only three tunes you need to lean as pretty much every song will scan to one of those songs.

One is Greensleeves, but I forget the other two

Ode to Joy and Clementine are the others. I guess we may need to add a Fourth. Fa La La La La.
Been filking way too long.

And Doug, you are sick, very sick. But cleaver. That's probably why I like you.

thats almost scary... key word being almost

I have heard 2 stranger covers of war pigs though

1. a bluegrass version done by Hayseed Dixie
2. a medieval tribute version done in latin with 14th century instruments by a group from estonia called Rondellus... they actually did a full CD of these that is sadly out of print... I managed to get a CD off e-bay for 11.00

I've always liked "Amazing Grace" sung to the Gilligan's Island theme.

*snort* Oh, that's marvelous. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention.

The people around me may *not* be as thankful, come the Yulemas season...*Grin*
