Checking Amazon for the new Iron Maiden album (six days!! poing!) I found these:
The Piano Tribute to Iron Maiden
The String Quartet Tribute to Iron Maiden
Of the two, the strings are closer to the actual sound of the songs. It's amusing to hear the violin used to simulate Bruce's scream on Number of the Beast. But still.. Buh?
More frighteningly, these are part of a series.. and they've done Slayer and Metallica.

Judging from what I have seen of you music taste they should be right up you alley. You get a couple of preview tracks when you click on each album.

I'll check the Helicopters out. Thanks.
