One book that changed my life Starship Troopers - Robert Heinelin. This book inspired me to serve in the Army, helped mold my views on society and an individual's obligations to that society, and was a damn good read.
One book that you've read more than once Dragons Egg - Robert Forward. Hard as steel science, and the entire history of a species from the development of life to their mastery of space and time.. in about four weeks.
One book you'd want on a desert island U.S. Army Survival Manual FM 21-76
One book that made you laugh Bored of the Rings - The Harvard Lampoon. The back cover copy made me laugh. The actual book? There were points when I couldn't breathe.
One book that made you cry Band of Brothers - Stephen Ambrose.
One book you wish you had written Team Yankee - Harold Coyle.
One book you wish had never been written The Ringworld Throne - Larry Niven. Oh, Ghods... why, Larry, why?
One book you're currently reading LiftPort - Bill Fawcett (Co-editor), Michael Laine (Co-editor), Tom Nugent Jr. (Co-editor). Combination of nonfiction and fiction describing how a space elevator will be built, paid for, and operated. Absolutely fascinating. And LiftPort is a real company who plan to have an elevator in operation before 2020.
One book you've been meaning to read The Algebraist - Iain M. Banks. I love Banks, and bought this a few weeks ago, but keep getting distracted before I can start it.
