gridloreI can watch the Yankees-Red Sox, the most overrated rivalry in sports, play yet another over-hyped game. Or I can watch my old hometown of Columbus, GA in the Little League World Series. And see kids who still play because its fun get a moment in the spotlight.
Real hard choice.
I'd love to be there in the hotel rooms, when the kids get to watch themselves on ESPN with their names on the screen, and professional commentary. Seeing their score appear on the scroll at the bottom of the screen. I can't even imagine how cool that would be.
Columbus' pitcher, Kurt Goetz, is throwing 50mph+ fastballs with good location. Lot of stuff at the knees with some good break. Pretty impressive. 2 strikeouts and a walk as I typed this.
