Ganked from Number 1 Niece (aka
madelineusher) who writes that she's been gaming "too long." snerk.
Years roleplaying: 30 this summer. Started with D&D and Metamorphosis Alpha.
Male or female characters? Both, though I tend to play more males.
Oldest character played: Captain Sir Arameth Gridlore, KOSC, Master of the Far Trader Estimated Prophet. Been playing him (in various versions of Traveller) since 1977.
Newest character? Not a character, per se, but I'm detailing the Chancellor of the Terran Concordat currently.
Which character of yours would be most likely to...
Jump off a bridge? Guthram Storm Kahn. RuneQuest character from years back. His idea of "strategic planning" was choosing which ax to wade in with.
Kill somebody in a very unorthodox way? Commander Calista haut-Gridlore, Baroness Lunion, IN, granddaughter of Sir Arameth and one of the nastier agents from Naval Intelligence you'd ever want to meet. (Traveller)
Get lost and refuse to ask for directions? Can't remember his name, but I played a noble fop in a Renaissance game. He'd sooner die than admit a failing.
Get lung cancer? Iron Horse (from a Champions campaign.) Man smoked constantly.
Star in a horror movie? Dr. Ivan Fendahlman, Professor of Ancient Languages at Miskatonic University (Call of Cthulhu, natch.)
Star in a whore movie? Well, I did have a short-lived Gamma World character that was a sexual energy vampire...
Star in a video game? Gadget (Champions again) his endless supply of weapons and clever tools fits the genre.
Make the world a better place? I played a LANG Combat Engineer in a Twilight: 2000 game who tried to fix things everywhere he went.
Have a torrid gay love affair? A dwarf I played in high school named "Fred." For some reason, I played him as a flaming homosexual.
Relate each word to a character of yours:
Love: Gadget
Hate: Gunnery Sergeant Eneri Gridlore, Imperial Marines (yes, another Gridlore. I had an entire family tree spanning 200 years at one point.)
Money: Arameth Gridlore
Seduction: Doctor Arcane (Champions)
Lies: Arameth again. He lived by spinning tales.
Tragedy: Guthram Storm Kahn. He was cursed by the Storm Bull and exiled from his people. Years later, he regained his standing, but only so he could die fighting.
Manipulation: Any member of the Gridlore clan. They could give lessons to Miles Vorkosigan.
Violence: Guthram or Iron Horse. Come to think of it, those two would probably get along great.. one they finished pounding the crap out of each other.
Politics: The Shield (Champions ) Very public, outspoken, law&order type.
Fire: Inferno (Champions) Mutant master of heat. Alas, his normal skin temperature was enough to cause burns.
Ice: Doctor Arcane
Would you ever...
Play a prostitute? I have, in a Shadowrun game.
Play a musician? Been there, done that (Hello, Bards?)
Play a pilot? Um, been playing Traveller for 29 years...
Play a homosexual? Again, did it in 1976.
Play a politician? Depends on the game, but it might be interesting.
Create a character for the sole purpose of smut? No. One of the advantages of being 40, I suppose. I'm a bit past that.
Play a character who commits incest? Hm. One of the gods I played did that, but it was all very mythological. I'd have to say not unless there was a damn good in-game or background reason for it.

[and it's a good thing, too, since I've been actively gaming/mainly reffing since Easter 1973.]
