Belgium Doesn't Exist.

In other news, I rode to work, but didn't ride home. I got back to the yard at about 1530, and was immediately jumped by my boss who needed me to make a run to Hayward to do two pick ups. When I pointed to the mountain of BSI products on my truck bed, he had me use another driver's truck. This violated his own rule on drivers moving each others' vehicles. I'm sure there's a story here, I'll hear it tomorrow I'm sure.

But by the time I got back to the warehouse it was after 1800. I had called Kirsten to let her know what was up, and she was already there with Traveler loaded in the back.

I could really live without these 11.5 hour days, y'know?

In other, other news, I got a package from Buns & Noodle today, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] isomeme and family. Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick (one of the all-time great albums, in my opinion), an astronomy reference card, and C.J. Cherryh's Downbelow Station which I've some how managed to not read up until now. Of course, I need to finish Superluminal by Tony Daniel first. I grabbed this not knowing it was a sequel. So after I finish this one, I'll need to find Metaplanetary.

At least I can take a shower. The plumber hasn't returned yet, but we've been advised that we can use the shower. Yay!

APropos of nothing your post...

Dude. Belgium exists. I've been there, and this userpic was taken on one of its streets. [livejournal.com profile] mikz has been there, too, to corroborate my story.

We took photographs. We ate the food. We took the train.

Antwerp is on the rail line north of Brussels... it looks a bit run down, frankly. Parts of Brussels aren't much better, but a lot of it has lovely art nouveau architecture.

Oh. Wait. We're considered liberals.

People won't believe us anyway, and think we're part of the conspiracy. *sigh*

Oh well.

11.5 hours is arse long. Wow.

Tull is good stuff.

What kind of astronomy reference card?

sounds like you got some good birthday schwag. Yay!

It's a Spark Chart. Nice over view of things that I need to have at hand when designing solar systems.
