The best laid plans...

At the start of my day, I had two jobs. Both pick ups at places I hit a few times a week. After those, I had one pick up in Hayward. I was done, and ready to head to Baycon by 1300.
But we were having a BBQ at work, so I stuck around for free food. So did the Benicia driver whose truck was preventing any of use from parking and draining our air brake resevoirs. He finally left, and I was ready to leave... except that our newbie driver (newer than me) is completely clueless. He had neglected to offload his truck. I was asked to hop on a forklift and help him.
Midwat through this task, Tim walks up. He has one more delivery. And I'm the only driver left on-site. To say I violated several laws, both of traffic and Newtoniab physics, is an understatement.
I finally clocked out about 1530. Getting over to light rail, and the trip to the hotel took another half-hour or so.
Not the way I wanted to start the con.
