Very nice car! Beautifully restored, great paint job, and I like your choice in rims. I got a real good look at your car since I nearly broadsided you when you decided that the red light in the left turn lane on Crow Canyon Road didn't apply to you. So, despite the presence of oncoming traffic, you gunned it through the intersection.

Guess you didn't see me, huh? With my load, my truck massed about 7,200kg. I was doing about 72km/h. When I saw you flashing in front of me, I stood on my air brakes. I nearly lost control of my truck trying to avoid killing you. It took every ounce of my driving skill to keep from going off the road into a telephone pole or hitting another innocent driver.

And rest assured, dear lady, had I not abused my brakes and tires, I would have killed you. Had I not seen you coming around, my truck would have hit your little car like Juggernaut. My front end is just high enough to allow me to roll large portions of your car underneath the truck. My engine would have ended up in your lap. That's assuming the collision didn't break your fool neck, or the shattering glass and metal didn't kill you.

I was so shaken up by this near miss that I ended up sitting on the side of the highway for about 15 minutes trying to collect myself. I almost flipped a turn to follow this bitch and either commit felony assault with a deadly weapon on her, or call the cops and get her ass busted.

I can only hope that when she finally does kill herself, she doesn't take anyone with her.

[livejournal.com profile] warinbear used to drive a panel truck for a linen service in Nashville. He has frequently commented that there are people that owe their lives to him paying attention when they were not, and to him being a good driver.

And yeah, it sounds like she's going to at least do herself a serious injury with that kind of driving attitude. I second the hope that she doesn't get anyone else involved in her (inevitable) wreck.

*sympathy*

I am glad your brakes and alertness were in good working order to make it a near miss instead of an accident. Hopefully something (that doesn't hurt anyone else) will bring this Mustang driver to her senses that just because Mustangs are fast doesn't make them invincible.

Take care.

I had an idiot driver issue this morning. What is it with people these days?! Glad you avoided the stupid cow.
(Mine was someone pulled into the next lane to the left, gunned it then cut back in front of me and slammed on the brakes to make the exit we were nearly past. They were in the correct lane to exit before they pulled this stunt and the only reason I was going kinda slow was the car in front of me, who was exiting!)
