Well, I suppose that was lucky.

Rolling through the Altamont Pass today (another trip to Tracy) I noticed that a rabbit had lost an argument with an eighteen wheeler. Seriously, CalTrans was going to have difficulty prying these remains off the road. It was almost comical, as you could tell it had been a rabbit from the outline on asphalt. Everything was flattened.. except for the feet. Four nice, fluffy rabbit's feet just hanging out on 580 West. Guess they were lucky not to be hit by the Peterbuilt of Doom.
There. Done with dead animals. But I will say that one of my favorite parts of my route is the Eastern Livermore Valley/Altamont Pass region. I get to drive past (and through) the wind farms.
