Guess what I learned on alt.atheism today? That Aleister Crowley co-founded the modern Wicca movement.

He evidently did this in 1951.

(snicker) He WAS amazing! I mean, I knew he'd contributed to Gerald Gardner's efforts to create his Wiccan tradition and was directly responsible for some of the weirder poetry in Gardner's Book of Shadows, but to think! He was still around to help jump-start things a full generation and more later. Never one to let that death nonsense get in the way, not the Great Beast, oh no sir.
