The Great Crusade.

My Ultracorps game is rolling along. I've finally gotten several big fleets (and a bunch of little ones) formed and launched an invasion of Ckat's space. So far, so good. I'm about to attack the single strongest world in the game (defending firepower is 1,253 - which is huge) with four fleets that will total about 1500FP.
Interestingly Ckat hasn't logged on for about five turns. His inattention is my advantage. Once I noticed his absence, I moved everything. I'm not going to miss the chance to grab multiple worlds while he's not looking!
Here's the almost current map. (I captured one world after I screen-capped this.) I'm white, Ckat is magenta, and Saxondog is green. In the lower right, you can just see a world with "Ter" above the number 177. That's my home world, Terrapin Station. I now hold 5 of the 6 home worlds in the game.

While I'm focused on eliminating Ckat, I'm putting together a fleet to take out Saxondog's main bastion at Moab (upper right corner.) This is going to be heavy on units that cause massive population damage, so that even if the initial attack fails, he won't be able to quickly rebuild.
It's interesting. I'm now facing the same problems that the Red Army had. Massive superiority in terms of firepower and troop strength, but travel time to the front is getting longer and longer.
