I get a guest membership for BayCon. Since Kirsten is working the con, I am throwing it up for grabs.

But there's a catch. You have to write my con bio. This has to contain the following elements:

1. I'm the author of GT: Ground Forces

2. I contributed to several other products, including Nobles and Interstellar Wars

3. I'm a cancer survivor.

Doug Berry…He can’t walk on water yet, but he still practices weekly with Jello. While he, in fact, is the author of the widely acclaimed GURPS: Ground Forces, privately, Doug considers it to be one of the most significant works of Historical Non-Fiction of the late Twentieth Century. (Shhhh!!! He gets a little…unstable…if you…well…you know…)
His Advanced Degree in Trans-Temporal Engineering from Nacho Mama’s Correspondence School of Elvis Impersonation (where Doug also minored in Lensman Macro-Economics) has given him a unique and valuable perspective as a contributor to both GURPS: Nobles and GURPS: Interstellar Wars. He is also *mostly* a Cancer Survivor…all the parts of Doug that weren’t malignant (carcinoma) did, indeed, survive. We believe the other parts have taken up residence somewhere in The District. An absurdly long-time Bay Area Resident (We’ve tried to get him to leave, honest!), Doug is still smart enough to remember not to “touch that dial, because it’s got KOME on it.” He’s a man, he’s an author, and he’s a legend. But…mostly, he’s a man that authors legends. Poorly, mostly, and with enough typos to keep his editor in therapy, but still…
