Dentists scare the shit out of me. Seriously, I thought chemotherapy was interesting and wish i could see video of my spleen being removed, but dentists? *shudder*

But it needs to be done.

Now I just need to get over there and pick up paperwork for financial aid.

Mt new dentist is female, and graduated in 1999.

Dentistfear is strong, even as an adult. Just about the only thing that beats it, for me, is going to the optometrist - the actual tests are innocuous, but they set off all the reflexes that tell you you're about to be blinded. (Which, in the environment in which our reflexes were formed, was pretty much a death sentence.)

I have an appointment myself for this Friday - an extraction of a bad molar - and I hesitated before making it. It needs to be done, but...

Ah, so.

Apparently when I was three, my mom took me to the dentist because of a canker sore or somesuch. He took a look at it and promptly zapped it with some Anbesol or some such. So, my first exposure to the dentist was making pain go away, probably friendlier than most other folks' first.
