gridloreLast night there were two shows that I wanted to watch. One was the X-Files series finale, the other the last episode of Survivor 4.
Guess which won?
I haven't actually watched the X-Files in years. Had Chris Carter made this a five year story arc, and stuck too it, it would have been fascinating, and everybody would have gone home happy. Instead, they kept dragging things out, losing viewers all the time.
We watched the credits just to see if they were going to play with the :The Truth Is Out There" tag. They didn't. So over to CBS and...
OK, Vecepia won. Neither she nor Nileah really belonged in the final two, but she won. It tells you something when half the jury tell you that you don't belong there.
What pissed me off about Vecepia was her mouth. Every time she opened it, out cam something about her race or her religion. Then she complained when others brought up the same things! I don't know if she even knew she was doing this sometimes, but when she was asked what she was feeling after she won the money, she replied that she was proud as an African-American
What the fuck is wrong with her!? The winners so far have been 1. A fat naked fag (his own description of himself) 2. A housewife who managed to get the other finalist to throw the game. and 3. A Jewish soccer player, This is hardly a bastion of white power you knocked down her, be proud of yourself for yourself! Then she mentions Jesus, of course.
She and Sean never stopped praying in front of the camera, praising Jesus for everything, and claiming his aid in every victory. Of course when Sean got voted off, I didn't hear him explain Jesus' role in that! :)
Grr. What really pissed me off was the way Paschal left the tribe. After a deadlocked vote with four left, They had to draw stones to see who left, and Pappy, who hadn't received any votes, drew the stone that sent him packing.
Oh well, the next series is set in Thailand. I'll be watching again.
