2. Were you named after anyone? All the males in my family, going back many generations, have "Douglas" in their name. "Edward" happens to be both my grandfather's given names.

5. Do you wear contacts? No. I actually prefer glasses.
6. What is your hair color? Dark brown, with some grey at the temples and in my beard.

53. What class in school do you think is totally useless? Most foriegn language courses. They don't do enough to immerse the students in the language, leaving them with a loose grip on some of the basics.

65. What was your favorite toy as a child? Me and my GI Joes had many a great adventure in the backyard. But the best toys I ever got was a bag of wooden clothes pins! I'd twist them apart, and to my 6 or 7 year old eye they looked like races cars. So I'd carefully decorate and number them, then "race" them around the coffee table. I think I got a new bag every spring for four years. I also owned every Micronaut toy known to mankind.
