You're a lemming, you're a smart and witty guy - why shouldn't you be on my LiveJournal friends list?

2) What would you say is the most boring stuff I post? The most interesting?

Most boring - posts about baseball (baseball, unless you're playing it, is boring)
Most interesting - political posts

3) What would you like to know about me that you don't already know?

How you hooked up with your wife. I'd think that would be an interesting tale.

4) What do you think is my weirdest listed interest? My most normal listed interest?

Weirdest - Grateful Dead (never understood the appeal of the Dead... oddly ennough, I do like cover versions of their songs even though I can't stand theoriginals)

Most normal - books

5) Based on what I've written in this journal, where do you see me in five years?

As the head of Steve Jackson games. ;-p

We were at the after-meeting pizza bash for out local Dr. Who fan club, and I heard Kiri mention a vague interest in the Grateful Dead. We chatted a bit, and in the parking lot I gave her a hug (which was way out of character for me.) A few weeks later, we went to see the Jerry Garcia Band in SF. A few weeks after that we drove to LA to see the Dead, and on the way back up I proposed.

I think Evil Steve might have some problems with #5...

Since the Dead helped my amigo meet his gal, I will no longer badmouth them (well, not as much as I used too). :-p

According to him, he wants someone to take over the business end so he can write games.
I don't see it happening.

Here's a more detailed version, from my POV....

Strikes me as a variant of Dylan's Law: There is no song Bob Dylan has ever recorded that can't be done as well, if not better, by someone else. (I look to Falco's version of "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" as the ultimate proof of this.)

1) Why did you add me to your LiveJournal friends list?
Becouse I know you IRL and its the only good way to keep up to date. Also lets me hear parts of your brain.

2) What would you say is the most boring stuff I post? The most interesting?
Most boring? Normaly the sports parts, I have never been a sports fan, the most interesting? depends on my mood, some days diffrent posts get my eye.

3) What would you like to know about me that you don't already know?
Not sure, but if I do think of something I will ask you at some baycon.

4) What do you think is my weirdest listed interest? My most normal listed interest?
I am not very good at telling this at all, weird and normal are like distance countrys to me:)

5) Based on what I've written in this journal, where do you see me in five years?
As the evil mastermind at the head of a international criminal group. But also with a day job to keep people from knowing.

1) Why did you add me to your LiveJournal friends list?

Because you wrote ACQ and I spend way too much demoing it for BITS

2) What would you say is the most boring stuff I post? The most interesting?

Sport scores as it means nothing to this Scots cricket and soccer fan. Some of your commentary is fun!

3) What would you like to know about me that you don't already know?

Army career?

4) What do you think is my weirdest listed interest? My most normal listed interest?

24 willie mays plaza??? reading

5) Based on what I've written in this journal, where do you see me in five years?

Army career?

I ran around the woods and shot at things. Light Weapons Infantry.

24 willie mays plaza???

That's the address of SBC Park, home of the San Francisco Giants (http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/sf/ballpark/index.jsp). Widely considered to be one of the best ballparks in the US. Willie Mays was one of the greatest players of all time, and spent the majority of his career with the Giants wearing number 24. There's a statue of Willie out front, and the wall in right field is known as the Willie Mays Wall (it's 24 feet tall.)

That's 24 Willie Mays Plaza in my icon. Balls hit out of the park to right field land in McCovey Cove (named for another Giants' great, Willie McCovey.)

1) Why did you add me to your LiveJournal friends list?

I added you after we met in real life when I came over to help [livejournal.com profile] rosefox haul around boxes, and I found we shared some common interests. And you just seemed like an interesting person.

2) What would you say is the most boring stuff I post? The most interesting?

boring: some of the memes
interesting: about the Giants (go Giants!), and your daily life.

3) What would you like to know about me that you don't already know?

Hmmm. Well, the obvious group of questions. How'd you become a Giants fan, what's the best game you've seen in person, and did you ever manage to win a Croix de Candlestick? ;)

4) What do you think is my weirdest listed interest? My most normal listed interest?

weirdest: aerology?
normal: books.

5) Based on what I've written in this journal, where do you see me in five years?

Alive, first of all. :)

Second, in a decent job, maybe having written a couple more books and still rooting for the Giants. ;)

I became a Giants fan during my illness. With a lot of time to lie around and not much energy, I watched a lot of sports. I'd never really been into baseball as a kid (hard core football household) but the strategy of the grand old game sucked me in.

Aerology is the study of Mars.
