I've been sort of following your job hunt via reading someone's FL while conducting my own job hunt.
Now, I've not seen your resume, and only know about your experience from what you've posted here, but I'm wondering why you're not applying to "office jobs". A quick glance at craigslist shows a *bunch* of receptionist jobs, for example, and if you can dispatch, you can reception. Lots of times receptionist is part of security, or can lead to a security function, and that's your background, right? Plus, it's something you can hit the temp/placement agencies for, which can up your chances for success.
I mention this because (in my experience) sometimes a change in job hunt focus can help re-invigorate your search, and distract you from despair.
Good luck. The right thing will show up. You gotta keep believing.
I've thought about it, but kshandra, with her mad office skills, had trouble getting a receptionist gig.. and she's a MS Office genius and types at near light speed. So realistically I have to wonder what my chances would be in those circumstances.
pardon me for butting in...
