Remember the Parking Control Officer panel I had about a week ago? The one I wasn't sure about?
I've spent the last week kicking myself over answers, replaying each moment in my head and realizing what I should have said, should have done. I had pretty much convinced myself I had blown it. Needless to say, I was pretty down.
Then, after work today (I did a five hour day shift, kind of odd for me) I get home and the phone rings. Kiri hands me the phone.
"Hello?"
"Yes, I'm trying to reach Douglas Berry."
"Speaking."
"Good evening, Douglas, this is Officer Whatshisname from the Parking Control office, you had an interview last week with us?"
"Yes, yes I did."
"Well, you must have really impressed them! We'd like you to come in for another interview, this time with just the managers."
Hell, yes!
Interview is Friday, at 1115hrs. Vibes, rituals, slips of paper inserted in archaeological remnants, good thoughts, and curses directed towards the Dodgers are all welcomed and encouraged.

Date: 5 May 2005 22:07 (UTC)One of my guys went to Sacramento to interview for a job last year. He thought the interview for bank guard was really hard, but did OK. So he goes up there to do the job, and asks on Monday, "So, what bank am I assigned to?"
"All of them. Captain."
In other words, he'd gotten the supervisor slot.
