Reading an article about Noah Wylie leaving ER at the end of the season, and I come across this line
When the series debuted in September 1994, Wyle played the impressionable young resident in a cast that included Anthony Edwards, George Clooney, Eriq La Salle, Julianna Margulies and Sherry Stringfield.
He was not a resident. John Carter was a fourth-year medical student starting a surgical internship.
What can I say.. I'm a canon whore.
I've often thought they should end the series when Carter left. We started with him arriving, ending with his departure would be fitting.
