Reading an article about Noah Wylie leaving ER at the end of the season, and I come across this line

When the series debuted in September 1994, Wyle played the impressionable young resident in a cast that included Anthony Edwards, George Clooney, Eriq La Salle, Julianna Margulies and Sherry Stringfield.

He was not a resident. John Carter was a fourth-year medical student starting a surgical internship.

What can I say.. I'm a canon whore.

I've often thought they should end the series when Carter left. We started with him arriving, ending with his departure would be fitting.

Was this before or after he became a warlord on Barsoom?

It was from right before he became a character in a Hienlein book.

They actually used that joke a few times on the show.

I have to agree with you on this one - even with Sherry Stringfield and Ming-Na Wen back, the series has jumped the shark as far as I'm concerned - so farewell e.r. - just as long as they spin off Dr. Kovac so I can continue to drool over Goran Visnic
