Megadeth has decided to split up following Dave Mustaine's revelation that his arm injury has left him unable to play guitar.

Mustaine founded Megadeth after he was kicked out of Metallica in 1983. Despite the band's wild success, he always seemed to have this serious problem about comparing himself to Metallica, and trying to "catch them."

There is no report on how Mustaine injured his arm.

It's weird. The report says that he suffered nerve damage in his arm and hand but he wouldn't say how and his publicist really didn't seem to know. One thing I liked about Dave was his intelligence and how his music reflected that. We never got a chance to see them on tour but I feel his words and music and energy will be deeply missed.

(nods) It always amazes me how literate metal is.. Metallica writes songs about the works of Lovecraft and Hemingway, Iron Maiden about The Prisoner, and Megadeth about other interesting subjects.

I'm listening to the S&M album right now, and "One" is one of the best songs about the effects of war on its victims, and it is based on an anti-war novel written in the early 1920s! (Johnny Got His Gun, later made into a movie.)

I don't need the background on One, thank you very much. This is a house of Metalheads and Liam was a major Metallica fan. When you mentioned Maiden, you forgot to mention "what not to do when an albatross shits on you." (Rime of the Ancient Mariner, of course)Oh and by the way, we have "Johnny get Your Gun" in the house.
