I'm half-watching "We Were Soldiers" on TNT.
The sounds of battle are soothing to me.

Date: 8 Nov 2004 09:37 (UTC)In general, you can spot what a person does by what accent he picks up. Infantrymen train at Fort Benning, Ga, so we get that Georgia/Alabama drawl. Tankers get a Kentucky twang, and gun bunnies sound like Okies after they finish their initial training.
