When I cashed out, the store had done $25K in sales.

Ten grand of that came through my register. This was while I was half-training two new cashiers, and desperately trying to juggle the phones, deal with impatient customers, and fill out paperwork.

So, they'll give you a fat bonus and a big thank-you, right?

Wow, and I thought my weekend was long. We did range fire (M16 and M9) this drill. I had to qualify on the M16 on Saturday*, then work the rest of the day as a safety; on Sunday, I was the Safety NCOIC for the pistol range. Lots of range-walking, troubleshooting, weapon firing and general supervision. On top of all that, I had to attend a retention seminar/dinner Saturday night, as my ETS is in February 2005. Long days, short nights....

*Good news: I was a first-fire GO. Bad news: I only qualified Marksman. At least I qualified with a few hits to spare....
