Of all the bands/artists in your cd/record collection, which one do you own the most albums by? Either Metallica, or if you count the Dick's Picks and other live shows, the Grateful Dead. BNL comes in third.
What was the last song you listened to (voluntarily)? Metallica - Some Kind of Monster off St. Anger
What's on your record player right now? How retro! Currently in the CD player is The Kinks - State of Confusion
What song would you say sums you up? Supertramp - Dreamer
What's your favourite local band? I'm really not up on the local music scene.
What was the last show you attended? The Who at Shoreline Ampetheater
What was the greatest show you've ever been to? The Grateful Dead at the Henry J Kaiser, November 7th, 1987
What's the shittiest band you've ever seen in concert? Flock of Seagulls at the US '83 Festival. Horrible.
What band do you love musically but hate the members of? Guns'n'Roses
What is the most musically involved you have ever been? I followed the Dead around for a time, sleeping in my car, miracling tickets.. good times.
What show are you looking forward to? Van Halen coming back around, or Judas Priest.
What is your favourite band shirt? I'm wearing it! Black Who t-shirt from the show we went to. It has the old "Maximum R+B" shot of Pete windmilling on the front with the classic band logo, and the tour dates with an American flag on the back.
What musician would you like to hang out with for a day? Ian Anderson (of Jethro Tull)
What musician would you like to hump for a day? Not really my style (although if Rob Halford happened to show up in my bed...)
Sabbath or solo Ozzy? YES! Both have their strong points.
Commodores or solo Lionel Richie? Commodores
What was the greatest decade for music? The seventies. You had the tail-end of the psychedelic movement blossoming into different genres, AOR stations that played more than just the hit singles of the day, and an amazing range of styles, ending up with the punk revolution at the end of the decade.
How many music-related videos/dvds do you own? Several. BNL, The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, Metallica - Cunning Stunts
What is your favourite movie soundtrack? Patton
What's the crappiest CD/record/etc you've ever bought? I can't even remember the name of the band, but it was an import metal album I bought at the old Tower Records in Campbell, Ca. The thing sucked. Horrible, forced lyrics, a guitarist who thought that "solo" meant "play the same riff three times" and muddy production values.
Do you prefer vinyl or CDs? CDs. Better sound quality, more durable, and easier to store.
All totalled, how much do you spend on music in a month? Not much. I rarely buy music these days.
Last album you paid money for? I can't even remember!
Band you'd most like to see / have seen? Judas Priest, BNL, the re-formed Grateful Dead.
