Donovan McNabb has finally retired, after 17 seasons in the NFL, 13 as a San Jose Wildcat. Sorry to see him go, not so sorry to get his $12.3 million salary back.

Looking at my new team, I think we're going to be running. A lot.

A bit low on the receiving corps or just good runners?

Well, When McNabb retired I went from a QB rated 91 to one rated 62. Having a HB/FB combination rated 87/93 slanted my view towards the run.

But I drafted a 6'7" QB out of Alabama who came in at 78 and improved markedly in the preseason, some I'm back to a West Coast-style offense. He's not as good at the long passes as McNabb was, but is very accurate and I've got a good TE.

What I really, really hate is the whole tedious process of resigning everybody. Plus, I really wish I could start from a blank slate and make a team - not start from another team and draft/build up from there, but be given a draft budget and pick every last one.

It's easy!

First, go into Customize and create a new team.

Then enter Franchise mode. Click "Fantasy Draft" to On. Then replace a real team with your own (you even get to rename the coach and pick his look.) When I did the Wildcats, I pulled the Raiders out of existence and made myself coach.

After that, the fantast draft starts.. and every player in the NFL is up for grabs.
