San Jose Wildcats: 45
New York Giants: 42
Going into the 4th quarter, I had a 42-14 lead. Fairly confident of victory, I started playing ball control... lots of long counts and sweeps. I don't make a first, and punt.. then it begins. The Giants race 60 yards on three plays to score. 42-21. I go 3 and out. They go long on the first play.. 42-28. I fumble the ball away on the kickoff. Boom, to quote John Madden, it's 42-35!
I get the ball back with about three minutes left and carefully move down field. I get first and goal on the 6, but can't punch it in, so I take the field goal. 45-35. And the rat bastard marches right back down field and scores! 45-42! At midfield, I fail to convert on 4th and inches.. 50 seconds left, no time outs. The Giants get to the 35, but time runs out before they can get the field goal unit on.
Whew!
Note for the draft.. next time I get players for my secondary, get tall ones!
Oh, and the NFL has cloning. Brian Urlacher is on my team, has been for about four seasons. But I found out today that he's also been on the Dolphins.. and they're paying him less. So I traded Urlacher for Urlacher (plus a draft choice), cut the expensive Urlacher, and my new Urlacher is even a tad faster than the old one!

In real football, The Eagles and Ravens are playing tonight.. I can't wait for Ray Lewis to level Traitor Owens.
