Today, I went to the store. No big deal, right?

Wrong. I drove to the store. For the first time in about two years. It felt good not to be tied to the bus or my bike. Normally, Safeway is well within my biking range, but it is difficult to rid with four 12 packs of Coke on your back... I'll still ride, and take VTA when I need to, but having the option of driving is very nice.

Watched The 4400 last night. I wrote about this a few weeks ago, and have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised at the show. The writing is tight, the acting decent, and the little girl playing Maia, the eight-year old who vanished in 1946 and came back a precog is Heather O'Rouke spooky. Looking forward to part two next week. I'm still thinking about gaming this, and leaning towards the superhero genre. One thing I like is this: when you vanished from the face of the Earth 20 years ago, and reappeared suddenly along with 4,400 other people, secret identities and flashy costumes are sort of pointless. A more gritty superhero setting, if you will.

My writing is starting to gel a little. I'm doing roughs for each world, and will expand them our later

The Giants ended the first half of the season strong, blowing out the D'backs and giving Jason Schmidt his 11 straight win. We're a half game back of the Dodgers (spit) in the NL West. We still need a bullpen though.

There are cookies tempting me. They speak to me, these cookies do...

Looking at the want ads, I see that El Paseo Limo is hiring dispatchers again.. I applied before, but never heard anything. So I'll try them again.

I was also pleasantly surprised by "The 4400". I hadn't intended to watch it but couldn't sleep so I caught the late showing. I thought it was pretty clever to not let people see exactly how the 4400 came back.
Also, is it me, or did Michael Moriarty have a stroke or something, his speech seemed a little slurred.

It took me a minute to recognize him. I'm wondering if that slur and the shuffle was acting.

Since he's had it for a while, in pretty much every role since LAW AND ORDER, I'm guessing it's not acting.

I was also pleasently suprised by the 4400. While watching it I couldn't help, but think of the ideas you had posted and then to actually see them developing powers was quite cool. :)
