That everyone seems to be taking.

You are an SRDF--Sober Rational Destructive Follower. This makes you a font of knowledge. You are cool, analytical, intelligent and completely unfunny. Sometimes you slice through conversation with a cutting observation that causes silence and sidelong glances. You make a strong and lasting impression on everyone you meet, the quality of which depends more on their personality than yours.

You may feel persecuted, as you can become a target for fun. Still, you are focused enough on your work and secure enough in your abilities not to worry overly.

You are productive and invaluable to those you work for. You are loyal, steadfast, and conscientious. Your grooming is impeccable. You are in good shape.

You are kind of a tool, but you get things done. You are probably a week away from snapping.

Well, except for the bits about grooming and being completely unfunny, pretty close.

Take it yourself!

Mine is cooler.

You are an SEDF--Sober Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you an evil genius. You are extremely focused and difficult to distract from your tasks. With luck, you have learned to channel your energies into improving your intellect, rather than destroying the weak and unsuspecting.

Your friends may find you remote and a hard nut to crack. Few of your peers know you very well--even those you have known a long time--because you have expert control of the face you put forth to the world. You prefer to observe, calculate, discern and decide. Your decisions are final, and your desire to be right is impenetrable.

You are not to be messed with. You may explode.

So I'm your major-domo. The haughty guy standing next to your throne saying things like "Yes, My Lord, Saskatchewan Fred and his compatriots have been cornered. There is no way they can escape."

That's when you laugh manically. When Saskatchewan Fred does escape, you stab me for failing you.

Works for me. What's your benefits package like?

First, I'd prefer that you either tell me he can escape, and how we can either prevent that OR use it to our advantage, or that you be correct when you tell me he can't. The momentary relief and amusement provided by stabbing your incompetent underling to death doesn't offset the effort involved in trying to find a new underling to look impressive yet subservient.

Benefits: Access to Evil Genius (TM) technology, hordes of lesser men for you to browbeat and bully, the right to recruit at least two sidekicks you can use to intimidate the Heroes, your pick of the ladies on the opposing side (cooperation is your problem, however; mind the bodice knives), and the right to actually question my judgement once or twice every adventure WITHOUT dying for it (I may glare at you and you have to cower convincingly, but no death).

These benefits are of course nullified if you have a change of heart and join the heroes, or attempt to supplant me.

Throw in health and dental, and you've got a minion!

Yes, it's far better to be a minion than a henchman (http://archive.gamespy.com/comics/nodwick/gamespyarchive/newnodwick.html).

Minions get paid more (http://www.elgoonishshive.com/d/20030402.html).

Dunno about THOSE.

... The damn insurance companies seem to think "Evil Genius' Minion" is too high risk a position.

Tell you what, if you take the position now, our first target will be to take over an insurance firm.
