I just downloaded Open Office.
I won't go back to Word and Excel.. you can't make me! Can't you see that OO and I were made for each other?

Re: I'm unimpressed...
Date: 25 Jun 2004 16:28 (UTC)While stable enough for usage and offering the majority of the functionality to OpenOffice.org on other platforms, this is not a traditional MacOS X user-friendly application. The X11 release is about functionality, not looks. This build is meant for the Darwin community and Unix-savvy MacOS X user community and forming a platform for us to build the Quartz and Aqua tracks for the traditional Mac user.
All further development of the Quartz and Aqua tracks has been postponed until OpenOffice.org 2.0 due to gsl timeline. Initial delivery of 2.0 for Win32, Solaris, and Linux x86 expected in Q1 2005. Projected OS X X11 port availability expected to be Q2 2005. Projected OS X native availability of OpenOffice.org 2.0 is currently Q1 2006.
