Barry Bonds extended his homerun streak to an amazing six games, and needs two more against his favorite launching pad, the Padres, to equal the record for consecutive games with a homerun. He now has 666 career homeruns. Along the way, we managed to actually win the game..
San Francisco Giants: 4
San Diego Padres: 3
We almost gave this one away, giving up four straight hits and two runs in the ninth. But a nice play by J.T. Snow (who didn't start) ended the rally. Jerome Williams pitched a clean 6 2/3rds innings. Looks like he's got the groove on his sinking fastball again, which is a very good thing.
