I have a theory

Yesterday was Jackie Robinson Day in the Major Leagues. Celebrating the day that Jackie became the first black man to play in the bigs. Celebrations all over the place at every ball game.
The Giants had an off day, and so weren't part of the celebration.. it is my theory that this was planned.
Y'see, Jackie played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, and there is no way in Hell we are spending a day at our home field honoring one of the those bums.
BEAT LA!

Re: But but but...
Date: 17 Apr 2004 08:14 (UTC)Anyway, when we wanted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bobby Thompson's "Shot Heard Round The World" with a turn back the clock day to 1951 uniforms, Da Bums refused to take part because of a claim that the Giants were stealing signs that day.
Hatfield-McCoy? This is far more serious.
