gridloreIn a really, really strange way to open the season, Baseball's opening game of the 2004 season was played this morning.
At 0200 Pacific. In Tokyo.
Tampa Bay Devil Rays: 8
New York Yankees: 3
To put that score in perspective, the Devil Rays' entire payroll is about the same as Yankees' salary for 3B Alex Rodriguez. To make things even weirder, the Yankees go home and play two more exhibition games before their next regular season game.
We open the season on the fifth, at Houston.
