The Wheeled One

I have a bike again.
I am a happy Penguin.
We picked up a 26" Huffy "Avenue" Comfort bike. Six speeds, aluminum frame, very nice indeed. We also grabbed some accessories: riding gloves, headlight and tail flasher, and a 12-function "riding computer" that I'm going to have to take back. (There are parts missing.)
I'm going to have to check the correct pressure for my tires and top them off before I start riding again, and wait for a sunny day, but I'm thrilled to have wheels again.
The best part? My budget was $190.00. The final cost was $189.38. Thanks to my friends who helped me replace this important part of my life.

Date: 22 Feb 2004 10:49 (UTC)Question: Do your transit buses have bike racks? I ask because ours do and this can make a long bus ride with bad connections MUCH more tolerable when you can bus part way and ride the rest.
**hugs**
