Remember the AFA's gay marriage poll?

After getting their asses kicked 2-1,the American Family Association has pulled the poll and will not be presenting the results to Congress. Big shock. Here's a quote:

"It just so happens that homosexual activist groups around the country got a hold of the poll -- it was forwarded to them -- and they decided to have a little fun, and turn their organizations around the country (onto) the poll to try to cause it to represent something other than what we wanted it to. And so far, they succeeded with that."

Earth to Right Wing Whack Jobs: It's a poll. The idea is you ask people and collect their responses. Did you really think that the news of this wouldn't get out? Did you really think that only your followers read your site? No, you promised to give the results to Congress, and lied.

I encourage everyone reading this in the United States to print out the results of the poll and mail them to their Congressmen and Senators. Make sure to point out this was from the uber-conservative American Family Association.

We're winning.

I love that...

What they didn't get propaganda they liked so they ditch it??? It'd be nice if if some organization took the AFA's poll and showed it to congress...

Like if Planet Out had a poll and the afa ganged up on it they wouldn't try to get them to release the results???

Sigh.

I'm actually kind of surprised that it only ended up only 2:1 in favour of tolerance in their poll. Cripes, we voted Kemal Ataturk greatest actress of the century just a few years ago at Life Magazine's website :) So their trying to gang up on Planet Out wouldn't work -- there's far many more reasonable and tolerant people than there are religiously motivated hate-mongers.

That's the problem (snicker) with this whole Internet thing.

homosexual activist groups
Wow, I didn't know I was a member of a group, let alone that I was gay. Boy, is my wife ever going to be disappointed when I tell her that. For that matter... she voted for gay marriage too! Holy Hell! I married a lesbian! I'm not sure if I should be happy about that or not...

Bet they know we're watching them now. I say we turn up the heat. Don't let them get away with public bigotry.
