The application is printed out.

I have the money to apply for a passport.

I'm in the best health I've been in since I got sick.

I'm applying for Survivor 9.

So, I need to have a video ready by January 27. Three minutes maximum. [livejournal.com profile] dafydd, would you be willing be to help with filming and editing this? I'm also looking for ideas on what I should do that will both catch the attention of the producers and be a good way to introduce me and my reasons for wanting to go on Survivor (like a million bucks and wanting to push myself to my limits again.)

The video should reflect who I am, so I'm looking to do something a little sarcastic. a little funny, and a lot weird. Any locals want to be in the production?

Also, I need three words to describe myself. Sarcastic is already taken. Suggestions?

Wish me luck!

I will wish more than luck! I'll keep sending positive thoughts of this all the way through the process!

Good Luck! This calls for activation of the east coast duchovnik vibes...

Oh and if sarcastic is taken... Try these:

cynical, ironic, sardonic, satiric, jeering, mocking, scornful, biting, cutting, incisive, mordant, scathing, sharp, stinging, pungent, tart, trenchant

just a few words in the thesaurus for sarcastic ;)

Intense!

When you get focused, you get very focused.

Include your Airplant food intake. "Folks think Survivors eat very little, wait till they see me."

Did your Ranger training including eating anything that didn't fight back too hard? Can you still do it?

One point to remember, the contract is iron clad about what you can say or not say afterwards. Would you be able to keep quiet her or other places online?

Yes. I'd lurk on alt.tv.survivor just to see what people said about me. Once everything was over, I come back.

It would be amusing to see the "Holy shit! Our Doug Berry is on Survivor?" The nice thing would be them not guessing if I was gay or not.. they already know. :)

Confuse them even more on the show, come out as bi. That would be a 1st for them. ;)

You can also play the cancer card all the way through as well. It worked for the guy on Big Brother.

No, they know that. It come up several times in various discussions over who's gay.

I'd play the ant-cancer card. "I'm here to prove that this disease hasn't kicked my ass!" Might get a few heartstrings tugged, get me to the merge.

Ahh I wasn't clear.

On Survivor come out as bi. They've had gay contestants, but no openly bi or lesbian contestants.

Anti-Cancer card to get on the show, Cancer card to stay in the game.
