gridloreAll through his campaign, Arnold Schwarzeneggar swore he would protect California's schools and their legally-mandated funding. Now that he actually has to deliver on what he promised regarding the deficit, he's sharpening a pretty big ax.. and guess what program is on the chopping block?
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said for the first time Tuesday that he would consider suspending the state's guaranteed level of public school funding, seemingly reversing a campaign promise to protect schools from severe budget cuts without raising taxes.
Amazing. Most politicians wait at least three months before breaking campaign promises of this size. Ah-nold is doing it in less than two.
